I have perfected the perfect omelette recipe! This recipe not only helps you use some eggs from your chickens, but also incorporates Tarragon which is great for your health which I’ll write about below. Let’s delve into the ultimate omelette recipe and why Tarragon is so good for you!

The Ultimate Omelette Recipe

If you’re going to enjoy an omelette with all of those eggs from your homestead chickens, enjoy it properly! This Omelette recipe is my favourite and most of the ingredients are from my homestead.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Frying Pan
  • Wooden Spoon

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs from your homestead chickens
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine for frying
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped tarragon (small, Cara Cara, or Valencia)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat 1/2 tablespoon of butter to frying pan and heat up
  • Whisk eggs in the mixing bowl.
  • Add a salt, pepper, finely grated cheese and tarragon to the mix.
  • Pour mixture into frying pan
  • When half cooked, lift each side up with a wooden spoon so that it folds over.
  • Move omelette around in circles in pan as it cooks
  • When no runny eggs remain, serve with the other 1/2 tablespoon of butter to melt over the hot omelette on the plate.

Notes

Add whatever other ingredients you like to your omelette, or enjoy it as is in it’s simplicity.
